Passionate about being near the water, my husband Matt and I moved to south Whidbey Island after living in the Denver area. The Colorado wellness cooperative I created, Parker Ripple Effect Massage Therapy, was voted “Best of the Best Massage Company” in 2014. I now enjoy offering bodywork and personal and business coaching from my Whidbey Island studio in Langley.
I was born in Eugene, Oregon and am a native of Bend, Oregon. I started my early working career as a court reporter for almost a decade then continued in the legal field as a paralegal in various law disciplines.
After my children were grown, I decided to tap into my intuitive and compassionate caregiving gifts as a career and went to massage school, passing the State Boards in 2008. I have been or am licensed in Oregon, Colorado, Washington, and California.
It was at a respected transformational retreat center in Big Sur, California where I had the opportunity to further my somatic education for several years.
With encouragement from my family and friends, I became a yoga teacher in 2015 as an adjunct to bodywork offerings. I have now commenced training to offer life and career coaching, with a focus on helping others get unstuck and find clarity to achieve goals, using body-centered awareness and the ancient Enneagram personality model.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling with my husband, volunteering in my community, gardening, doing activities outside on a sunny day, and tapping into creative vitality through craft projects.
